Be sure to check out the other entries! No game has consistently captured my imagination as much as RuneScape has over the years. I started playing way back in 2005 when a friend introduced me to it on Miniclip and somehow this weird browser MMO with its terrible graphics managed to hook me with its surprisingly rich world and most of all, its sense of humour and whimsy. Even in its most epic of plotlines the game constantly makes fun of itself and its characters, which is definitely its saving grace. Runescape holds a huge place in my heart and is one of the most nostalgic things I have! My best friend and I still play it every summer and it's still a surprisingly enjoyable game! One of the most nostalgic things the game has is the soundtrack, full of catchy and memorable songs. When I first started playing, one of the pieces I heard the most was Medieval, and when we decided to do a Runescape cover, it seemed obvious to do it! It contains a surprising amount of changes as well as a pretty cool modulation at the end. We kept most aspects of the song together but decided to splice it together with its remarkably similar counterpart, Baroque, another of my favourites. Hopefully it worked well! Production-wise, my room has been completely redone (yay) which means I'm finally mixing with monitors, and I think and would like to hope its made a change! The other huge difference is that I bit the bullet and used school prize money to get Cubase 8, since I didn't like Reaper and I couldn't stand my limited version of 5 anymore. I also got a new bass :D :D :D This is one of our least rock-driven covers to date and we decided to give the spotlight to the melodica, which Anne-Sophie started playing at Christmas time :) Other than that, we're sorry for the huge lull in videos but recording at uni is almost impossible and my entire second semester was taken up with other music related things. And a degree or something. So unfortunately it looks like we won't be releasing anything more until the summer :( Medieval and Baroque were composed by Ian Taylor. Things we used: Guitar: Fender Telecaster FMT HH Bass: American Fender Deluxe Jazz Acoustic Guitar: Takamine EG320SC Piano: Piano One Mellotron: Redtron Drums: Superior Drummer Melodica: Hohner Bass Amp: Marshall MB4410 Guitar Amp: Marshall MG100 Interface: Focusrite 2i4 Microphone: Audiotechnica AT2020 Camera: Canon Powershot SX600 Guitar Pedals: Soundbox Multiwave Distortion Recorded, mixed and mastered in Cubase Pro 8.
