Hailee M's video: I Want to Live my Life to the Fullest - Goodbye 2015 Hello 2016

As cliche as it is, here's to a year full of up and downs. At the beginning I didn't know what to expect from this year. I was still having issues with Bug and the likely hood of starting him in the jumpers was slim to nothing. February came around and one of my friends from 4-H offered to let me come out and try a horse she was interested in selling, as he had been out to pasture for 3-4 months. I went out about a week later and fell in love with this chunky little Quarter horse, June Bug. I decided to take him on a two week trial and after that I decided he was just what I was looking for. June Bug became Zant shortly after ( I couldn't have two Bugs now ;) ) and at the beginning of March we had our first show. I didn't know what to expect, but after an awesome first show together I felt even more sure that he was a fantastic little horse. I unexpectedly took Bug to a show in May, after Zant refused to load in the trailer, and actually had a a great show with him! After having one other show, me and zant headed off to 4-H state at the beginning of June. It wasn't the best, but it tested us and overall I feel like we learned a lot from just being there. Meanwhile, little Buggy had been improving as well and I couldn't have been happier with how both of the horses where going. But during July I pretty much stopped riding, and took a break. I felt uninspired and I didn't know how to fix my riding mistakes, and every ride had left me feeling frustrated towards myself. Then at the end of July/ the beginning of August I started riding again and joined IEA, and I finally felt confident in my riding again. During August, me and Zant ended up getting our first 1st place and reserve champion for our division, and I got to show with one of my best friends! Shortly after, the IEA show season started up and I've been lucky enough to meet an amazing group of people and have such a wonderful team ♥ As time went on I started seeing big changes in how both bug and zant were going, and that just fueled my excitement for the future with them. It's been 100% worth taking buggy back to basics and I'm glad we're finally getting back to how we used to be. At the last show for the season me and Zant took home champion for the 2' division and had a go at the 2'6", which he did fantastic in and I can't wait for next year with him! - Well, It's a bit of a ruched video and summary of my 2015, but I hope everyone has a fantastic new years!
