Overwatch Liao and Lore...name a more perplexing trio! We've not heard anything about Liao for nearly 4 years now - after being mentioned in Overwatch's launch blog in may 2016, the mysterious 6th member of the Overwatch original Strike team apparently has an important part to play - but what could it be? Their name (and potentially, what they look like) have been the only things we've had to go on, ever since the launch of Overwatch, and the subsequent cancellation of First Strike - the 100 page Overwatch graphic novel that seemed to be nearly finished, in November 2016. Now, with a tweet from Michael Chu, Liao seems to be back on the table - and not consigned to the Overwatch Blogs of history. The question is, what part might they be able to play in the Overwatch lore and story leading up to Overwatch 2? Let's recap what we know and don't, and have a bit of a fun speculate afterwards too!
