Happily Ever After Adventures's video: Disney Merrytime Christmas Cruise Vlog aboard the Disney Wonder Days 5 6- Rocky Sea Days

@Disney Merrytime Christmas Cruise Vlog aboard the Disney Wonder; Days 5 & 6- Rocky Sea Days
*To Stay Up To Date With Our Most Recent Adventures, Follow Us On Instagram: @HAPPILYEVERAFTERADVENTURES This vlog will comprise of both days 5 and 6 of our vacation. This is due to the fact that day 6 is so short; we had to travel direct through the path of a very bad storm, and for many hours of the day, we were asked to stay in our staterooms (for safety). Yikes! Still a fun two days, though. Day five of our Disney Merrytime Christmas Cruise aboard the Disney Wonder is a day at sea. The morning begins with a princess gathering; Clara is able to visit Cinderella, Ariel, Tiana, and Belle. We also received a special invitation to see Anna and Elsa again (since this is their last day to meet with guests). Josh and Clara meet with Santa Goofy and enjoy some cookies and hot chocolate in the atrium while Amanda, Tina, Callie, and Billy participate in a Chocolate and Liquor tasting class. During this time, the ship has turned around and docked at Cozumel due to a medical emergency on board. Luckily, the person ended up being okay (we found this out on the last day), but this trip will come back to haunt us the next day... Dinner is at Tiana's Place, and tonight is Mardi Gras night. We have so much fun eating, singing, dancing, and joining in with the final festivities. Mardi Gras night is always so much fun! Clara meets up with Mickey Mouse before going to bed. The last activity of the evening is the Ricky Kalmon hypnotist show. This is always such an incredible (and often hilarious) show to watch. We spend so much time both laughing and being in a state of awe. What a great way to end the night! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Day six is a rough day. There is a big storm brewing in the gulf of Mexico, and while cruise ships normally have time built into their schedule to avoid these storms, we unfortunately lost all of our extra time with the impromptu trip to Cozumel on day five. In order to make to back to Galveston on time, the ship will have to plow full-speed directly through the storm. This makes for the rockiest seas that we have ever experienced in our fourteen cruise sailings. Many of the cast and crew members say it is the roughest seas they had encountered; some of the seasoned crew even get sick! Nevertheless, we try to make the best out of a tough situation. The morning isn't bad quite yet, so we have all have a family brunch at Tritons. During this time, the crew starts to tie all of the outside doors and cut off the guests from walking the Lido deck. We enjoy a few meet-and-greets, which is lucky because by the afternoon, all meet and greets will be cancelled. The seas start to roll a little bit, but we still attend the Character dance party in the lobby atrium. For the first time in all of her cruises, Clara actually wholeheartedly participates in the dance party, and this is one hundred percent due to the amazing, incredible cast members. They are so sweet with her, and they do their best to involve her and give her just enough personal attention to bolster her confidence. We are so very grateful for them all. :) As the dance party comes to a conclusion, the ship enters the storm. Very soon, the captain asks guests to try to remain in their staterooms through the worst of it. We are informed that the evening shows are cancelled, and some of our family actually get sick. A few hours pass, and we dare to meet up at dinner. There are very few people there, and we dine quickly. We are invited to a special end-of-the-cruise meet-and-greet, and we are so excited to be able to say goodbye to our favorite cast members. Unfortunately, many of them are busy trying to learn a different, safer version of the 'Disney Dreams' show that has been cancelled. Luckily, we are still able to see some of our friends and say farewell. Even though this has been a rough sea day, we still had an absolutely amazing cruise with many wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. We will never forget this incredible cast that took us in and made us feel like family. Hopefully we'll be fortunate enough to sail with some of them again some day.
