A very old & important Super Mario Bros. glitch, demonstrated in 5-2, 6-1 and 6-3, leading to different endings. Grabbing the flagpole when Mario's at the right edge of the screen can send Mario to the left side of the screen, sometimes causing death after the flagpole. If Mario touches a solid object (not including a lift), you'll enter next stage after over 2 minutes of music; if not, you'll be stuck in a loop forever. Don't miss the moments in 6-3 in which Mario falls down from the sky, and the flag reappears during the loop.
