多摩湖（正式名称「村山貯水池」）は、東京都東大和市の狭山丘陵に造られた人造湖で、ダムの堰堤がある北東岸からは富士山が望め、湖畔の紅葉も素晴らしく「日本の紅葉百選」に選定されています。完成は1927年（昭和2年）で「ダム湖百選」や「近代水道百選」にも選定されており、近代建造物や土木遺産としても価値が認められています。 堤防周辺には「東京都立狭山公園」が整備されており、湖を一周できるサイクリングロードも整備されています。埼玉県側にある狭山湖（山口貯水池）とも隣接しており、周囲の森は「トトロの森」としても知られています。 狭山湖（正式名称「山口貯水池」）は、多摩湖の北西部に隣接して位置する人造湖で、完成は1934年 (昭和9年)。こちらも「ダム湖百選」および「近代水道百選」に選定されており、近代建造物や土木遺産としても貴重なものです。 多摩湖と同様に、晴れた日には北東岸から富士山が望め、秋から冬にかけては夕陽の名所としても人気があります。湖周辺は「県立狭山自然公園」として整備され、芝生広場や休憩東屋などがあり遊歩道を散策できます。また、狭山湖はマガモ・カイツブリなど水鳥の越冬地となっており、「水鳥の楽園」としても知られ多くのバードウォッチャーも訪れます。 野山北・六道山公園（のやまきた・ろくどうやまこうえん）は、多摩湖の西側にある森林公園で、雑木林と丘陵に切れ込んだ谷間の組合せによって、豊かな自然が残されています。東京都内にある富士山の絶景ポイントの一つでもあり、広大な公園エリアの中でも、六道山では富士山がよく望め、山頂展望台に登れば、富士山や東京都心部のビル群も見えます。 Lake Tama (officially named "Murayama Reservoir") is an artificial lake built on the Sayama Hills in Higashiyamato City, Tokyo. It has been selected as one of the "100 Best Dam Lakes" and "100 Best Modern Waterworks" and is a valuable part of modern architecture and civil engineering heritage. Like Lake Tama, Mt. Fuji can be seen from the northeast shore on clear days, and the lake is popular as a place to enjoy the sunset from autumn to winter. The area around the lake has been developed as the "Prefectural Sayama Nature Park," with a grass plaza and resting pavilion, where you can stroll along the trails. Sayama Lake is also a wintering ground for waterfowl such as mallard ducks and kiteshigas, and is known as a "waterfowl paradise" that attracts many birdwatchers. Noyamakita Rokudoyama Park is a forest park located on the west side of Tama Lake, and the combination of wooded areas and valleys cut into the hills leaves a rich natural environment. At Mt. Rukudouyama, you can get a good view of Mt.
