@Hebrew basics: Vowels, Consonants And Sounds
In this Hebrew for beginners lesson, we will talk about the Hebrew basics - sounds, vowels, and consonants. Those are the fundamentals of the language. Here you will learn the pronunciation. The sounds we make in Hebrew, create the words. Before you master words and vocabulary in Hebrew, it is best to understand the structure of those sounds and how they serve as the building blocks of the Hebrew language. In Hebrew, you will find several types of consonants. Guttural for example. It all depends on where we close our vocal tract. Fully or partially. For example, the letter Pe (פ) in Hebrew is created in the lips. Just like the English P. That is not all. If we want to create more than just sounds, we need to add the vowels. This will create full words for us and allow us to communicate clearly.
