Heping1's video: A Wushu Tale

@A Wushu Tale
My competition journey started in the late 80ies. Back then there were no real Wushu tournaments (and also no real Wushu teachers) in Switzerland just some sort of "Open" for all Martial Arts and the divisions were mostly Hard Style and Soft Style. My first real Wushu Competition was the 1st International Shaolin Wushu Festival in Zhengzhou/China. My first real Wushu Competition in Switzerland was in 1995 when my club joined the Swiss Wushu Federation. One year later i could join the National Team. In the 2000s i started mostly in traditional events at Tournaments in China. The 2004 1st World Traditional Wushu Championships were also the 1st event where my son and i competed in the same event (yeah, Gordie Howe, i did that too). In 2014, the same year my son became European Champion for the 1st time, i got a bit infected and made a mini Comeback at the South German Wushu Championships. And now i saw a chance to chase the Gordie Howe record of being active in 6 decades. Of course, Ice Hockey and Chinese Martial Arts are not comparable. but i'm just one decade away, i'm working on it :D
