Shimla-While Himachal Pradesh Government claims it has been ensuring that tourists follow the SOPs regarding the Covid Appropriate Behavior, pictures of State's hill stations are scaring the Health Ministry. The Ministry confirmed that tourists are flooding hill stations and weren’t following Covid guidelines. Pictures of tourists roaming in the crowded markets of Shimla and Manali without following COVID-19-appropriate behaviours were shown at a media conference held yesterday to warn the state governments and the people on the dangers of the ‘revenge tourism’ – a term coined to represent tourist activity to compensate for the monotony faced during lockdowns.
