Hindu Lifestyle's video: There IS a problem with Hinduism and it s with academics

If you are living in North America and grew up Hindu, odds are you probably learned a little from your parents, maybe you went to the temple and enrolled in some classes -- chances are these classes weren’t mandatory, you came when you wanted and didn’t really take it seriously. Fast forward a couple of years you are now in high school and then into university or college, you probably felt it was a GOOD idea to take a course on Hinduism. RIGHT? Well-- WRONG CHOICE - I am here to tell you that you were sadly mistaken. While your intentions may have been noble and you were expressing an inner desire to learn more about your culture and heritage, a university setting is the LAST place you want to be going to learn more about YOUR religion. The problem Hinduism is how Western Academia has reinterpreted our tradition.
