There are a story about this great famous temple Adyapith and closely related name, Annada Charan Bhattacharya is associated. The year is 1915, This Brahmin son was a famous Ayurvedic physician of Calcutta (Kolkata), and all Bengal’s, he was not only a skilled doctor but he was also a successful scientist who invented seven patent drugs, Annada Thakur was a religiously motivated person who was a devotee of Ramkrishna Dev, it’s why he was the godly devotee of Ma Kali and a true honest Bengali saint, Once Ramkrishna Dev told Annada in a dream that there is a pond in the Eden garden made by British in Calcutta or Kolkata, and wherever the Pakur and Talgach are together, there is a sacred statue (murti) of Kali and ordered him to bring it, Annada and his three companions found this sacred statue from the bottom of the pond, and till today there remains a plaque mark on the ground as a reminder. He brought the idol and started worshiping in the way of home system, many people came to see and began to devotion the image, Since it was an ancient beautiful antique statue filled with sculptures, many wanted to buy this great holy image but Annada strongly refused, after that Annaada saw a strange dream, in the sleep she saw that Mother Kali was commanding him to give this beautiful statue to the Ganges water or to be immerse and he felt it repeatedly. he also heard in the prophecy that Mother Kali is saying that she does not want to worship in one place, instead she wants worship of every devotee, If someone reveres sincerely in a simple language from heart, or give some worship homage offer to mother, she will be pleased and that offer will be used or consumed by the devotee himself. The 16th reason on behalf of immersion of the sacred idol was described by the devine mother, This Logic faded the mind of the Annada and he could not bear it. One morning a picture was taken from the statue of the goddess, then Ananda went out with some of his companions towards Ganges for the purpose of plunged the statue, and rented a boat and went to the middle of the Ganga (Ganges) according to her command immersed the goddess idol. This is not the end here, again in the dream the Holy Mother appeared and said that she is Addya Ma (mother) original strength that she is to be worshiped as Addya mother In 1919, Sri Ramkrishna Dev had revealed what was to be done in the life of Annada, that’s the establishment of Goddess Adi Mata Temple, It is wonderful to see the temple, just like three stape, you will find that the three temples have been merged with each other. The first is of Shri Ramkrishna Dev’s the second for Addya mother and the third is for Radha Krishna, It is heard that on 14th January 1967, this beautiful Hindu temple built of white marble stones was completed, he did not just build this temple only, he has done many beneficial work and established for non upgrade society and poor people, such as girls' school made on 1942, and the boys' orphanage was completed in 1951, made a free clinic in the year 1959, and all the Shiva shrines was restored.
