Hello Friends I welcome you to this video - Beautiful Dakshineswar Kali temple of kolkata/ historic popular and famous mandir of West Bengal (Paschim Bongo or Bangal) India, and also on my Holy horizon channel, Bhabatarini or Dakshineswar Kali Temple (mandir) is a great Hindu temple of Hinduism which is very close to Kolkata on the locality of Kamarhati Municipality of North 24 Parganas district and that is located on the eastern side of Hooghly river or Ganges beside Bali Bridge or Vivekenanda setu. Rani Rashmoni, the famous Important figure related this temple (kovil or alayam), she established this in 1855, who was a philanthropist and a devotee of Kali Devi, this religious place became more famous for being associated with another great spiritual person Sri Ramakrishna Dev, It is surrounded by large boundary, this temple (deula) has a big courtyard, and there are twelve nice Shiva shrine beside the border, from then to till now it is a devotional place for thousands of pilgrim people, this big tallest temple was built in the middle of the mid-19th century, in between 1847 to 1855, there is a history or story during this time, during that time Rani went out to travelling Banaras for pilgrimage with her relatives, at that time, Mother Kali ordered her to dream that there was no need for her pilgrimage travel (tirtha yatra), instead of that establishing Image of Ma Kali’s nice idol in a beautiful temple (ksetram) on the banks of the River Ganges, and by worshiping mother Goddess Kali will be manifest and satisfied and this process to be equal of her pilgrimage, Rani went back home and almost immediately bought a place beside the banks of the Ganga (Ganges) in the village of Dakshineswar and it heard that it was bought from an englishman John Hastie, It took time to create eight years, and the cost was Nine hundred thousand rupees It is also known that, on May 31, 1855 on the day of Snan yatra, Idall or statue of Goddess Jagadishwari Maha Kali was installed, Ramkumar Chhattopadhyay the elder brother of Godai or Godadhar was the main priest of that mandir, after he is gone the position was given to Ramakrishna as brahmin, with his wife Sarada Devi, It was a rare occasion that more than one lakh Brahmins were invited from different parts of the country on that day. After the establishment of the temple Rani Rashmoni, only five years were alive.
