Bagara Rice, also known as Baghara Chawal, is a fragrant and aromatic dish cooked with basmati rice and a medley of spices. This traditional recipe is perfect for special occasions or when you're craving a hearty and flavorful meal. Join me as I take you through each step, ensuring you achieve perfect texture and taste. Ingredients: 2 cups basmati rice 2 tablespoons ghee 2 tablespoon oil 2-3 green cardamoms 3-4 cloves 1 inch cinnamon stick 1 star anise 1 black cardamom 2 bay leaves small piece nutmeg 1 cup sliced onions 2 sliced tomatoes 3-4 green chilies, slit into half 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste 1 tablespoon mint leaves, chopped 1 tablespoon coriander leaves, chopped 3 and ½ cups water 1 teaspoon lime juice Salt to taste Instructions: Rinse the rice in water until the water runs clear. In a large pot, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the onions and fry until softened and translucent. Add the cardamoms, cloves, cinnamon stick, star anise, nutmeg and bay leaves. saute for a few seconds until fragrant. Add the green chilies, ginger garlic paste. Fry for a minute more. Add the mint leaves, coriander leaves, and tomatoes and cook for 2 inutes Add soaked basmati rice Add the water and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, or until the rice is cooked through. Add 2 tablepoon ghee Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork.
