Howard Day's video: USS Enterprise TWOK TSFS Warp Effect

Here's my over-the-weekend project - trying to get back into CGI production a bit, after being slammed at work and distracted by coding various video game side projects. This effort was to see if I could get the super-memorable jump to warp effect from the classic Star Trek movies in-camera, in one single pass. USS Enterprise by Diogo Vincenzi! https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Vd3aB8 Minor material/shader tweaks by me., mostly to get some RTX speedups. As always this is rendered in 3DSMax 2022.2, using VRay Next Ver5 GPU. I'm using dual TITAN RTXs in one box, and a 3090 RTX in the other.. Render times between 2m6s and 3m21s per frame, with about .25s-.5s for post effects application per frame. Post in After Effects, using Sapphire by BorisFX for the lens flares, and Red Giant Looks for the color correction.
