And I'm done with it. Thanks to all who watched, provided feedback, and encouraged me. Thanks to Bastien Boiton for the excellent music! It took a little more than 10 months to finish, on and off, with me having to build a bunch of models and a pipeline to finish it. I'm very happy with the result. This is a single shot from a much longer short film, one I chose to work on because it forced me to solve a bunch of problems at once, that I can then apply elsewhere. Done in 3DSMax 2021, VRay 5 NEXT, using the Optix Renderer on Dual Titan RTX cards. I used Embergen for the explosions. The final animation is 146 frames long, and took between 45s and 1 minute 5s to render from Max, and about .5-.75s per frame for post. Enjoy! ...
