Howard Day's video: Multi-Update - Cinematic X-Wing Cockpit and Character WIP

@Multi-Update - Cinematic X-Wing Cockpit and Character WIP!
Hey, folks - it's been a while since I posted, and I'm sorry for not sharing more. I've just not really *completed* anything worth showing quite yet, so I've been holding off. Instead what I've decided to do is post a bunch of updates to the work I've done to bring the X-wing Cockpit up to latest snuff for use in further cinematics. I've completely rebuilt it based on a Frankenstein merging of all different sorts of X-wing cockpit reference - from the original 3 movies, to the Classic Dos Space Shooter (which is extremely near and dear to my heart) to the very latest from the Squadrons game. There's a little bit of everything in there, and I *really* like the results. I also spent quite a bit of time creating my own Rebel Pilot uniform mesh and materials and used that in combination with a modified Rodian Head made by the excellent Robert Rose to put together a character in the long-running WIP short, Blue Rookie. Here he's getting yelled at for being out of formation after dropping from hyperspace. :P Music: OG X-wing Games TIE Fighter: Ansel Hsiao Rodian Head: Robert Rose This is rendered in 3DSMax 2022.3, using VRay Next Ver5.2 GPU. I'm using a 3090 RTX, and the render times are about 2-3.5 minutes per frame. Post work in After Effects, mostly CC, Lens Distortion, Chromatic Aberration, and Flares. Post was 1-2s per frame.
