Howard Day's video: Duros GR75 Transport Break-off 2022 Update

Happy new year, everyone! Here's an update to this animation. :D Added a Rebel-Ornj transparent visor for his poor little eyes, better hand animation on the controls, better skinning on the chest, and more detail on the character himself. I've actually gone back to doing two passes for this scene - one for the cockpit and one for the glass. I was just not getting fast enough rendering results looking through the glass every frame, it was much faster to add that in in post. Enjoy! The cockpit is mine, a few greeble pack assets in there, the Duros head is from EA's BF2, but modified quite a bit, and the Vest and shirt are purchased CG assets. I've reworked/retouched almost everything, but I'm definitely not a good enough character artist to do anything but the basics. Colin Turner did the base animation, but I went in and did some re-work to help stick the hands to the controls. Travis Baldree did the fantastic Voice Acting work. This is rendered in 3DSMax 2022.3, using VRay Next Ver5.2 GPU. I'm using a 3090 RTX, and the render times are about 5.5 minutes per frame. Post work in After Effects, mostly CC, Lens Distortion, Chromatic Aberration, and Flares. Post was 1-2s per frame.
