Eric: You're sick or tired of everything. Dwayne: I am, I'm sick and tired, and tired of being sick. Eric: You're sick and tired of being sick and tired? Dwayne: That's right and now you know what? All the time the guard comes to me, "Give me the ball, big fellow". Eric: Are you the guard? Dwayne: I want to be the point guard. Can you teach me how to be a better point guard? Eric: You want to play the point? Dwayne: What wrong, you don't think that I can play the point? Eric: I can teach you, but we have a point guard here. Dwayne: An expert? Eric: Yeah, an expert who can teach everybody how to become a better player. Dwayne: Really? Where is he? Eric: The king. Dwayne: The king, oh, King Arthur. Eric: Yeah. Dwayne: You can show me how to be the point guard? Eric: Yeah. So, Swoop, we're not gonna talk about the physical attributes of being a point guard. Dwayne: Right. Eric: Cause being a point guard really starts from your neck up. Dwayne: OK. Eric: You want to play the point guard position with your head. Dwayne: Oh. Eric: So first of all, we want to talk about King Arther controlling the court. Dwayne: OK. Eric: And you don't just control the court with your mouth. Dwayne: Right. Eric: You control the court with your hands a lot of the time. Dwayne: OK. Eric: So if King Arthur is dribbling the ball, he's got his head up and he's pointed out where he wants his team mates to be, maintaining the dribble at all times. Dwayne: Right. Eric: And also, he's got a defender on him. Dwayne: Right. Eric: So we want to make sure they don't steal the ball. Dwayne: Oh, OK. Eric: That's the first thing. Now, as he picks up the ball, there's also times in the game where you have guys that are a little emotional. Dwayne: Really? Eric: You got to be able to control the whole game. Dwayne: I get emotional. Eric: Yeah. Dwayne: I do, I be like, no you don't, give me that ball back. And then, what happens then? Eric: King Arthur comes to you and he says, "Don't worry about it big fellow," and gives you a little pat on the bottom, "It'll be alright." Dwayne: Oh. Eric: That's being a good point guard, thinking from the neck up. Dwayne: Oh! Eric: And on the defensive end. Dwayne: Really. Eric: Everything starts with the point guard. Dwayne: Oh, how's that? Eric: He wants to pressure the ball. A guy like you is trying to bring it up. Dwayne: The hooker. Eric: And the next thing you know, he's all up in you. Dwayne: Why is he all up in me? Eric: Yeah. Because he's the point guard. Dwayne: Oh. Eric: And everything starts with the point guard. Dwayne: I want to be a good point guard. Break it down to me again one more time. Eric: It's all about leadership. Dwayne: Leadership. Eric: You want to set the offense. Dwayne: Set the offense. Eric: You want to be vocal. Dwayne: Be vocal. Eric: But we want to make sure we're always putting our team mates in the right position, offensively and defensively. Dwayne: Cool. Eric: That's being a good point guard. Dwayne: Nice.
