Now we're going to talk about some rebounding drills. Now earlier we spoke about, when rebounding, you want to make sure you have a strong base. You rebound the ball with two hands, and when you get that rebound, you chin that ball as to protect the ball. Now rebounding for the most part is about timing and desire. Desire being the number one thing because you have to want to go and get that ball. Timing all about reaching the ball at its peak. So when a ball is up in the air, boom! I want to go get the ball, and not let the ball come to me. Now I'm going to talk to you very quickly about some quick rebounding drills. So, come on over here and let me show you some. So now we talked about balance. We've talked about timing. So that's what we are going to demonstrate right now. Some rebounding drills that help you to accomplish both things are timing and rebounding drill that's called a tap drill. So what you want to do is, you want to throw that ball off the backboard, up in the air, back up. Notice how I'm keeping the ball above my head, jumping up, grabbing the ball at its peak. Now you can do this drill with two people. Come on over, Mr. 540. Catching the ball in the air, tapping it over to your team mate. Here you go, 540. Catching the ball at its peak. And those are a couple of rebounding drills that will help you to improve yourself and become a better rebounder.
