Hawk No_486 's video: Derelict 1959 HLTP Niagara Ventom Shaw s Reflectoware pan

The Niagara Ventom Cistern: Made by Thomas Dudley (Dauntless Works). So sadly despite my best efforts, I was still unable to get the unflushable one on it's own to flush. It cannot be serviced as whoever installed it, tightened it to such a powerful degree. However, I decided to take a fair risk, head upto the main farm bit, and hope the landowner is in sight. Sure enough, found someone, asked em if I could look around & photograph the old airfield. That was all it took, received the whole history of the airfield too as an added bonus, although location remains protected for obvious reasons. Upon wondering around the other buildings. I came across 4 more of these WCs all around. Sadly the one which is in use today is now a CCPB Armitage Shanks Sandringham - replacement, all the others remain disconnected & have the fulcrums stuck in the down position, all except this one. Was unsure wether i'd be able to flush anything, but with a 2 gallon bucket and 1959 static water tank still retaining water right outside the building, a nice easy collect and fill in one go. Sadly the quality of the 1960s Dauntless syphons are showing & clearly the reason why there are so few 1960s & older Dauntless products still around today. :( But I managed to get this one to flush with a very nice metallic rumble at the end. The washbasin outside is made by Shaw, Knight & Co (Enamelstone Ware) which was unrelated to Shaw's Glazed Brick & Tile Co.
