Hawk No_486 's video: 1961 Twyfords Ceremant No 2774 Close Coupled Double Trap Syphonic WC

Found this incredible survivor in a cathlc P.O.W. from this years R&S.. Original to the building. Instead of the 3 Victorian WCs I had scheduled. Here, found on Saturday, we have an extremely rare Twyfords WC in white "Ceremant" (Vitreous China). It features an original celmac seat, original handle & the original Twyfords Ceremant syphon. The float valve is a regular part 2, which has been set below the water line. Flush is set to 2 gallons (9 litres). The one downside is that the original top washer on the piston has failed. Despite three attempts to try and see if it flushes properly with the pull and let go. It thankfully still works and flushes with quite a strong suction with the handle held down. It's an incredible find, and I hope it lasts many more years to come. There was a 2nd WC next door, but it was the expected accessible AS Ventura WC from the mid 2000s.
