This year on Saraswati Puja, we performed the Bengali Hatekhori ritual of our son Rihaan at home. In this video, I have shared our Saraswati puja 2023 celebration at home and the hatekhori ritual of our son Rihaan. Hate khori is the ceremony which is performed to introduce education to young children. This is known as the first writing ceremony. According to Hindu mythology, Saraswati is the goddess of knowledge, art, music, wisdom and nature. And so Bengalis perform Hate Khori for their children around the age of two to three years on the day of Saraswati Puja.
