A partir de bois mort, l'artiste Vincent Lajarige redonne vie aux arbres. Il associe diverses essences sur un même tronc, une même branche. Il inclue des résines transparentes ou colorées qui elles-mêmes emprisonnent des lichens, des manuscrits... Il intègres des leds qui telles des lucioles apportent vie et lumière. Vincent Lajarige est un démiurge de la forêt. Avec son ami botaniste de renommée internationale, Francis Hallé, père du Radeau des Cimes et spécialiste des forêts tropicales, et Mark Alsterlind, artiste peintre américain, ils croisent leurs regards pour mieux appréhender l’Arbre, « champion des mouvements immobiles ».
