There are two mixes on offer here, each one a unique take on the track. The original mix kicks things off with clean percussion licks followed by a rolling bassline to get things moving. The breakdown is full of the type of lush synth work and beautiful harmonies we’ve come to expect from the C.O.L.D. studios, reaching a euphoric peak before slowly winding things down into a simple drop with minimal synth riffs. But it’s not done there – the harmonies slowly build back up again to reach the same richly-textured climax as the breakdown, this time layered over the stomping kick and rolling bassline. Wavetraxx provides the second mix, once again putting his unique sound to good use. Kicking things off with a solid kick and bassline groove, the intro builds things up with squelchy synth stabs before winding things down for the breakdown. A beautiful piano is layered over lush pads before giving way to an arpeggiated synth line, building anticipation while stuttering chord stabs gradually fade in. A simple yet effective build leads to the climax, where the chord stabs are joined by the percussion and bassline groove, providing the deep chord progression with an injection of energy.
