Merlins swansong was the most beautiful, heartbreaking and epic end to a series I have ever seen and I feel so very proud to be a fan of Merlin. Those 5 years changed my life and shaped my dreams and nothing can ever come as close to moving me as much as Merlin and Arthurs story. Merlin at its heart was always about friendship and what I tried to capture here was the extraordinary relationship between Merlin and Arthur, how much they cared for each other and how they were literally made for each other. I can't tell you how much I cried making this, just watching the scenes again, they break my heart, they're so powerful and beautiful, and seeing the strength of Merlin and Arthurs friendship and how they have to part hurts me so much. They are soulmates and Merlin must be in so much pain living without Arthur. But there is the hope that Arthur will come back and thats what I suggest in this. I want to convey how much Merlin loves him and how he will wait, for all of time, for Arthur to come back. I just can't get over the beauty of their story and I believe its the greatest story ever. If I had a friend, a soulmate that loved me even half as much as Merlin and Arthur love each other, I would feel like the luckiest girl in the World. Like Bradley has often said, I think everyone would be happy to have someone like Merlin in their lives :) The music is 'Song to the Siren' from the beautiful film 'The Lovely Bones'.
