IIED's video: Top tips for climate talks: a conversation between Olivier Ishimwe and Yamikani Idriss

Olivier Ishimwe, communications officer at The Green Protector in Rwanda, and his mentor Yaminaki Idriss, from the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs in The Gambia, chat about their mentoring relationship and their experience as junior and senior climate change negotiators at COP27 in Sharm el-Sheikh. Olivier and Yamikani were paired up as part of a mentoring programme led by IIED. This initiative matches junior UNFCCC negotiators with experienced negotiators from the Least Developed Countries (LDC) Group to increase their ability, confidence, networks, and maximise their influence in the UN climate change negotiations.
