IIED's video: Action to impact: IIED s executive director reflects on 2022

In this video, Tom Mitchell, executive director of the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), reflects on 2022 and suggests how the institute will move forward from here. Dr Mitchell talks about IIED's 50 years of working alongside local communities to drive positive change, and highlights some impact stories from last year: from supporting negotiators at COP27 to our efforts to bring an end to refugee camps; directing funds to the right place to tackle the climate crisis or putting Indigenous People at the heart of protected area management. He emphasises some of IIED's innovative work such as promoting anti-racist communications or supporting LGBTQ+ voices in development.
