In this video presentation, IIED’s Dilys Roe describes the purpose and use of the five-dimensional sustainability assessment framework and tool. This was launched by the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) and its partners in November 2023, to bring a more rounded approach to assessing sustainability in relation to the use of wild species. The tool adds animal welfare and human health to the conventional ecological, economic and social dimensions of sustainability.
