The single also crossed over to the pop charts, becoming their only top 40 hit. It included club remixes from Steve 'Silk' Hurley. It was sampled by the late South African artist, Brenda Fassie, for her smash hit "Ngiyakusaba". The song was also selected as one the "100 Greatest Dance Songs" by Slant Magazine . A cover version was released in the summer of 2017 by Canadian-Armenian producer DerHova featuring the vocals of Asmik Shiroyan. Jomanda was an American female house music vocal trio from New Jersey. Members included Joanne Thomas, Cheri Williams, and Renee Washington. Jomanda had several hits on the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart during the first half of the 1990s, including "Got a Love for You," which reached in 1991. The song also crossed over to the mainstream, going Top 40 (peaking at ) on the US Billboard Hot 100. In 1993, the trio returned to on the dance chart with "Don't You Want Me," a track credited to Felix featuring Jomanda. Group member Joanne Thomas died in October 2003, after a three-year battle with colon cancer.
