ISPO's video: ISPO Munich 2020 The industry is taking responsibility

@ISPO Munich 2020 – The industry is taking responsibility
Klaus Dittrich, Chairman & CEO Messe München: Over the last 5 decades ISPO has developed excellently because it has kept up with the industry and it has developed continuously. It has identified and reinforced the latest trends and, above all, because it has become much more digital over the last 10 years, it has developed a whole range of services that offer added value to the industry beyond the four days of the fair. ISPO Munich 2020 has been very, very successful. We have received consistently positive feedback from the exhibitors. The ski resorts are full, the cable cars are working at full capacity, the mood is very, very positive and in the end it was an extremely positive conclusion, also with regard to the number of visitors. We have had approximately 80,000 visitors from 120 countries. We have been considering how to commemorate this anniversary. And we concluded that looking back is very interesting, sometimes very entertaining, but we want to look ahead. So, we have decided to raise ISPO to a new level: it will be transformed from an international platform for the sporting goods industry to a global platform for sport. We want to invite everyone involved in sports, who has a sports connection, to present themselves, to exchange ideas, to make business contacts. Above all, we want to advance the topic of sustainability and the joint promotion of sustainable development one step further. On the 29th July, we will be holding the ISPO SDG Summit for the first time. The SDG-Summit will focus on the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. The aim is to inform each other, and also to motivate each other, to exchange experience, to consider the contribution we can make to create a more sustainable world, not only individually but also collectively.
