ISPO's video: ISPO Munich 2020 - Kids in sport

@ISPO Munich 2020 - Kids in sport
Chilling with your smartphone - the number one favourite activity for school children. The only thing that moves is the thumb.  A new study by the World Health Organization (WHO) shows that this is not a cliché: four out of five young people do not move enough. The reasons are obvious. Dr. med Thomas Bartl - Sports physician, Clinical Center Garmisch-Partenkirchen One big factor is our fast paced world nowadays. School takes up a lot of time, parents are gone and children are supposed to take care of themselves. With a smartphone they now have the possibility to play and communicate with friends without even moving a finger. At least one hour of exercise a day, is recommended  by the WHO guidelines. It does not necessarily have to be your usual sport. ISPO shows a number of innovations in the fun category. For example the balance board "Das Brett" or the new sport "Teqball" - it promotes coordination and skill almost incidentally. But it also works without equipment. The project "Beweg dich Schlau"/“Move intelligently“ by Felix Neureuther is one example. Felix Neureuther - Ex Alpine Ski Racer I don't want to give advice... there are simple incentives in "Move cleverly", they should come up with ideas, I just want to give an impulse, starting with the game "Simon says", try to brush your teeth with your left hand and stand on one leg etc. It's all about movements you can integrate in your every-day-live that parents and children enjoy together. Although the digital world often prevents precisely this playful movement, it can also offer solutions: Game designers and fitness experts have joined forces for the Sphery ExerCube fitness wall. The result is a video cube in which players control avatars and have to be agile and athletic. Anna Martin-Niedecken CEO Sphery  They're so into the gameflow, they don't even realize how hard they're working. According to the latest research, girls in particular move far too little. Many manufacturers at ISPO want to contribute to changing this - digital support can help, but doesn‘t have to be. Even a functional and sustainably produced outfit can make you want to be active. And active children also have an easier time at school. Felix Neureuther - Initiative „Beweg dich schlau“ Children can concentrate better, school is also stressful for a child, they need to balance this by exercise in order to live a happy live. The main thing is to exercise - whether it's play or sport, for children, it’s all swings and roundabouts
