The Phoenix: Faculty Features is a showcase of our faculty and some of the cool things that they love about their profession. iuk.edu Notes from Dr. Doss: My mother taught me to knit using this pattern and I have used it several times to make dishcloths for myself and to teach others to knit. Dishcloth Pattern Yarn: 100% cotton worsted weight yarn. Needles: U.S. size 7, 8, or 9 straight or short circular knitting needles – available at JoAnn Fabrics, KnitPicks, and other craft stores Notions: scissors, tapestry needle Instructions Cast on 4 stitches using the long-tail cast-on method. https://youtu.be/sN9cNEozOLc Row 1: Knit all stitches - https://youtu.be/fTznP_omoKg. Row 2: Knit 2 stitches, yarn over - https://youtu.be/3QbFhh8u4L8, knit to the end of the row. Repeat Row 2 until there are 43 stitches on the needle. Next Row: Knit 1 stitch, knit 2 stitches together - https://youtu.be/10Ko-GJ8Vbk, yarn over, knit 2 stitches together, knit to the end of the row. Repeat this row until four stitches remain.
