Creating wildlife corridors is an extremely targeted and cost effective tool to protect nature. With the financial support of the IUCN NL program Small grants for the Purchase of Nature (SPN), local NGO's are able to acquire strategically important parcels of land to connect isolated forests, thereby greatly increasing the living space for wild animals such as birds, jaguars and monkeys. The pioneering approach by SPN can make all the difference to the chances of survival of many unique and endangered species.
