I hope this is more fun to listen to than it was to record and edit 🙃 There's something about a camera that makes a song you've practised a thousand times feel newly awkward and difficult. Writing it was a good time though, the little riffs and licks and stuff are some of the most fun I have with guitar - chords generally don't get me that excited 'cause I'm not too clever with how I use them... yet. My favourite thing about this is the riff at 0:41, which comes back with a vengeance in the solo. Also 'note'worthy are the chromatic notes at 1:24 and 1:35 - I don't tend to straight-up play notes out of key, just a pull-off here or a bend there. Mind you, it's just a flat fifth, I'm not reinventing the wheel here. Little things here and there could have been a little slicker, but perfectionism is a drag so I won't focus on that if you don't. Lots of time and effort of course, trying to be very selective about every line. The last thing I want to do is churn out bland songs than can't be differentiated from the one before or after.
