Ian Black's video: She Wanted My Soul Original Improv

@She Wanted My Soul (Original/Improv)
She Wanted My Soul (Original) 12 Bar Blues In E Minor, 60bpm [ Em][ Am][ Em][ Am] [Em7][Am7][Em7][Am7] [Bm7][ Em][Am7][Bm7-Am7-Bm7] Bass: Stick to the tonic, transitioning from E to A with a G or vice versa. Transition from A to B through an A #, B to E through A and G And for the turnaround it's A, A #, B - long pause - B, A #, A - short pause - GhA, A, E E Minor Blues lead improv and Robert is your mother's brother. The name is a reference to someone I briefly thought I knew, as well as to my favourite Bob Dylan song - Don't Think Twice (It's All Right) Post-mortem: The latest in a long line of projects that really should have turned out better. I'm not BB King yet... but I'm working on it. I really tried to focus on chord tones, mirroring the chord progression closely... maybe too closely... I don't know, I'm still feeling my way through this blues stuff, trying to find the balance between self-expression and musicality. Possibly could have been better with another few days of attempts, but it would cost my sanity... same backing track over and over is completely fine for a little bit and unbearable thereafter. If you don't like this, you might want to give the next one a swerve too, it's likely to be in the same ballpark, though kind of at the other end.
