Ian Black's video: I Could Have Lied by Red Hot Chili Peppers Acoustic Guitar Cover

I began working on this cover 17 days ago. Probably 6 of those were days off, so 11 days focused solely on this song, playing until it hurt too much to carry on. It's one that is very dear to my heart and I wanted to do it justice, to really let it sink into my muscle memory and feel a physical bond with it as strong as the emotional one I already possess. I have no excuses for any imperfections in this rendition, other than my own inexperience. On the other hand, practising this over and over has given me a feel for techniques that I was not comfortable with beforehand, so I would say it has made me a better guitarist. As for this version being a minute shorter than the original, I often feel that instrumentals can drag without the lyrics and vocals to pad them out, so I cut it to what I feel is an appropriate length - without cutting down the difficulty. I hope anyone reading this has enjoyed listening to the video. It may not be my song, but it was played with sincerity.
