Ice Coaster's video: My Journey to Stop Sucking at Chess ELO 250-500

@My Journey to Stop Sucking at Chess (ELO 250-500)
I learned how to play chess when I was young, as my dad had a nice chess board. When I say "learned how to play" what I mean is that I learned how the pieces move. Above and beyond that I learned nothing more. I've always liked the idea of chess. I've always thought of people who are good at chess as having a pre-requisite of being intelligent. In my younger days though, I was less concerned with games of intellect and more interested in games of a physical nature. With that in mind, about a year ago I decided to make a concerted effort to try to learn how to play. I told myself I would play at least a few games everyday and even if only through sheer will and determination, I would inevitably get better. Hey, I think I'm kind of a smart guy, maybe I would have a knack for it. Well I can tell you after a year of playing that... no. I do not have a knack for it. I am not a chess prodigy, that much is clear. I have, however, improved in that time. It's little by little to be sure. From what I've read a 500 ELO rating (which is what I'm at now) means that I fall about 500 points short of having a basic understanding of chess. Still, I play at least a few games every day. I try to do 10 puzzles a day on chess.com. I'll watch at least a few videos a week on chess theory from various different sources. Even if my growth is slow, it stills feel like I'm making progress. It's nice to catch players in the same tricks that have caught me 100 times before. It's nice to learn new openings and counters to openings. At this point I look forward to playing the games I do each day and feel a bit obsessed. So after all of that precursor, here are some of my wins throughout the ELO sewers of the chess world as I progressed from 275ish to 500ish ELO. Comments are welcome, especially from people who have constructive criticism of my playstyle.
