This was his first studio effort after leaving Uriah Heep that same year after the disastrous record "Conquest". On "Free Spirit" appeared one interesting track "Brown Eyed Boy", which featured none other than Deep Purple's Ian Paice as a guest musician, who at the the time was apart of the legendary classic Whitesnake line up.
