"Eposi i Kreshnikeve" nuk do te mbrohet nga UNESKO, te paktën për një periudhe 3 vjeçare. Pavarësisht bujës apo ngritjes se grupit te punës mes specialisteve nga Shqipëria e Kosova qe ne vitin 2010, dërgimi i dosjes ka dështuar. Ketë fakt e pohon Vaso Tole, kryetar i grupit te punës, sipas te cilit afati i dërgimit te dosjes se "Eposit te Kreshnikeve" ishte marsi i këtij viti, çka nuk u realizua. Por pavarësisht pretendimeve se dështimi ka ardhur për shkak te vonesave te aplikimit nga ana e ministrisë se kulturës, ne te vërtete arsyeja kryesore është një tjetër. Muaj me pare, ministri Aldo Bumçi deklaroi se dosja e Eposit do te shkonte ne UNESKO si një aplikim i përbashkët mes dy shteteve, pra Shqipëri e Kosove. Por, fakti qe Kosova nuk është anëtare e OKB-se, nuk e lejon këtë forme aplikimi. E thëne ndryshe, nëse Shqipëria do ta dërgonte e vetme dosjen ajo tashme do te ishte marre ne shqyrtim per tu konsideruar si trashëgimi e mbrojtur. Mesa duket, vendimmarrja politike beri qe tashme e drejta e aplikimit te digjet, duke humbur kështu te drejtën për ta quajtur "Eposin e Kreshnikeve" si trashëgimi te shqiptareve. Months ago, the Minister Aldo said Epic file would travel to UNESCO as a joint application between the two countries, namely Albania and Kosovo. But the fact that Kosovo is not a member of the UN, does not permit this kind of application. In other words, if Albania will only send that file will already have been taken into consideration to be considered protected heritage. Apparently, the political decision already made ​​the right application to burn, thus losing the right to call "epic heroes" as a legacy of the Albanians.
