Imaginando's video: How to make the sounds from Benga Coki Night with DRC

@How to make the sounds from Benga & Coki 'Night' with DRC
Are you ready for a brand-new DRC Sound Design Tutorial? We promise that this time will be fast as lightning, with a short tutorial recreating two sounds from the 2007 track ‘Night’ by Benga and Coki. Benga, born Adegbenga Adejumo, is a well-known face in the world of dubstep, being recognized as one of the pioneers of early dubstep record production. In fact, Benga started producing his music on a PlayStation before moving on to the classic ‘FruityLoops’ (as it was called at the time) which has since evolved into FL Studio. Many aspiring artists have launched their careers the fruity way, and it remains a popular DAW for budget-conscious producers to this day. The other half of this collab is Coki (AKA Dean Harris), one of the two members of Digital Mystikz, who helped orchestrate the success of iconic dubstep label and club night ‘DMZ’. Originating in 2005 in Brixton, London, DMZ was one of the most influential UK dubstep brands of all time, as one of the first regular promoters of club nights dedicated to the genre. More than just a place to hear the freshest sounds from the emerging scene, it was a place known for lovers of the low-end to "come meditate on bass weight" as the official slogan/tagline declared. The track ‘Night’ appeared on Benga’s second studio album ‘Diary of an Afro Warrior’ (2008) which was a huge success all over the world, as the popularity of dubstep surged it towards the mainstream, just before the 2010s. Today’s DRC Sound Design Tutorial is a collab too, featuring guest star synth FRMS - Granular Synthesizer, as Lucas “Patch-Master” Palmeira tackles two sounds from the track ‘Night’ by Benga and Coki.
