Imran Hossain Bhuiyan's video: BHUTAN Winter Memories Travel VLOG

@BHUTAN | Winter Memories | Travel VLOG
Bhutan is a landlocked country with mesmerizing beauty. The places as well as the people are amazing. Let's know about our 5 days trip in details: sightseeing in Bhutan 1st day: Landing in Paro and sightseeing 2nd day: More sightseeing in Paro and road trip to Thimphu 3rd day: Road trip to Punakha, via duchula pass 4th day: More sightseeing in Thimphu 5th day: Trip to Chelela Pass on the way to Paro 6th day: Returning flight from Paro Paro, the city with the only international airport in Bhutan, is a valley town somewhere 50 km away from the capital city, Thimphu. From the airport, the town center is about 10-15 minutes by car and may cost 600-800 Rupees for a taxi. It's worth remembering that the Bhutanese Ngultrum (Nu) is equivalent to and mutually replacable with the Indian Rupee (INR). You can get decent hotel rooms in 2500-3000 INR in peak season. It's better to stay a night in Paro and visit nearby dzong (temples), and monasteries in a day trip. People who are interested in hiking can go to Tiger's Nest in a day trip from both Paro or Thimphu, I missed it for unavoidable circumstances though. However, places like Chelela Pass and Haa can also be covered in a day trip from Paro or Thimphu. If you start early in the morning, you can go from Paro through Chelela Pass and Haa on the way to Thimphu. A small car can be hired at 3000 INR/Nu for the day trip. I must say that the drive to the top of Chelela on the icy road in this winter is a memorable journey altogether. Thimphu is the largest town and the capital city of Bhutan. The hilly town is crowded with a lot of historic and religious structures. Tashiccho Dzong, one of the largest monasteries of the country, lies beside the country's parliament building and the King's palace in Thimphu. The Dzong only opens after 4 pm and remains open until 5 or 5:30 pm. The Dzong houses a number of beautiful temples for the country's head monks and nuns. Besides the Dzong, the Buddha Point is another attractive site at the top of a hill where resides the gigantic golden Statue of Buddha. Other than these two places, you can also visit Changangkha Lakhang (a beautiful local temple), National Library of Bhutan, and some other museums. All these places in Thimphu can be covered in a day trip by a car. On the way from Thimphu to Punakha, we crossed Dochula Pass which itself is a beautiful point to spend some time looking at the Himalayas. If you visit dochula pass during winter, you can play with ice in the nearby hills. Punakha is one of the warmest places in Bhutan. According to the tour guide in Thimphu Dzong, two-third of the monks of Thimphu Dzong travel to Punakha and stay in the Punakha Dzong during the winter. Even, during our stay, while the daytime temperature was about 6°c in Thimphu, it was as warm as 13°c in Punakha in a sunny day of the first week of January. Besides the weather, we also enjoyed the view of the rivers, valleys, and the suspension bridge at Punakha. The Punakha Dzong is another big attraction which resides in the intersection point of two famous rivers, Pho and Mo Chhu rivers.
