HIIT This video is for people who are interested in workouts. HIIT is High Intensity Interval Training. There has been a lot of buzz happening around HIIT in the recent years. Exercise is good, but HIIT is not for everyone. Within a short time you will do high intensity workouts and you might have known about it probably by now. If you are a coach or a trainer, there are three things that you need to understand. . If you are diagnosed with heart problem, or have been suffering from heart related problems then you should not do HIIT. Consult your cardiologist because every heart is different. But fundamentally, if you are diagnosed with a heart problem, you should stay away from HIIT When you perform HIIT, your heart and cardio vascular system needs to pump in more oxygen to your muscles. When the heart is unable to do it, people suffer from heart attack. One of the most common causes for heart attack is HIIT Secondly, if you are suffering from high blood pressure, you should totally avoid HIIT. Consult your doctor and undergo the preliminary tests to find out how your body responds and then decide if you want to take up HIIT. Please avoid HIIT if you have high blood pressure as it will stress your heart and body. Thirdly, if you are just beginning to exercise, avoid HIIT. Because your body will not be conditioned to take up the stress. If you want to do HIIT or power lifting your body has to undergo base line conditioning for a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks. Prep your body every day for at least 30 minutes like walking and then gradually start HIIT. Your body needs to understand the intensity of the work. If you don’t prep your body, you may suffer injuries. There are a group of people who are above 50 and still active. It’s good to be active. But before you jump into HIIT, make sure your heart and body is ready to take up the intense workout. It is better to have the basic understandings and then move on to workout. Every one of us should know about it. It’s a good thing that many people nowadays have taken up fitness as a lifestyle. It will be wise to prepare your body before we venture into HIIT.
