In this video, we discuss an interesting feature in linguistics called clusivity - a feature that helps languages distinguish if the listener is included when the speaker says "we". It is an interesting quirk that we compare across the varied languages of India - from Marathi and Gujarati, from Tamil to Malayalam, Telugu, from Kannada and Tulu to Dhundhari (Dhundari) and Punjabi. We try to see through this video how cultures create social boundaries and how it helps shape the way people construct belongingness.
