Ganesh Baraiya, a 22-year-old with dwarfism, defied all odds to become a doctor. Weighing only 18 kg and standing at just 3 feet tall, his journey was marked by challenges. In 2018, he was denied permission to pursue MBBS by the Gujarat Government despite scoring 87 percent in boards and 233 marks in NEET. With the help of his school principal, he took the case to the Supreme Court, which ruled in his favor under the 2016 Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act. Now, Baraiya has completed his MBBS and started his internship, showing exceptional determination and a reassuring demeanor, despite the challenges his height presents in attending to patients.
