I'm not really sure what the right word would be, but regardless of that I've actually wanted to do something like this for quite a while now. The original track is quite repetitive, so some of the percussion might reflect that as well. A little flare I am proud of though is the buildup to the final verse, which featured some glissandos backed by increasingly powerful horns and a flute playing the main melody. In my opinion that's a step up from just repeating the same verse twice.
