On Friday, September 27th, ILSR Research Associate Maria McCoy gave testimony to the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission over Xcel Energy's proposed acquisition of the Mankato Energy Center. Speaking on behalf of the Institute for Local Self-Reliance, McCoy asked the PUC to reject Xcel's request to purchase the gas plant.
