He had previously performed for Chikara, under the name Fire Ant as part of the Colony stable. Orange Cassidy made his AEW debut at AEW All Out on August 31, 2019 , aligning himself with Best Friends and aiding them against The Dark Order. At AEW Revolution on February 29, 2020, Cassidy made his AEW singles debut, facing Pac in a losing effort. He continued to accompany Best Friends during many of their matches and he would often distract their opponents.
