Arbaeen is a Shia Muslim religious observance that occurs annually forty days after the Day of Ashura. It commemorates the martyrdom of Imam Husayn (pbuh), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), who was killed on the 10th day of the month of Muharram. Imam Husayn (pbuh) and 72 companions were killed by Yazid's army in the Battle of Karbala in 61 AH (680 CE). About 30,000,000 people come to Karbala from all around the world to participate in this great event. They are from different religions and different countries. This event have many amazing features that you can't find anywhere else in the world.
