Ishya IISER TVM's video: A webinar on Kerala Mural Art by Mrs Premila Sethumadhavan Cultural Council IISERTVM

Cultural Council of Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Thiruvananthapuram (IISER TVM) proudly presents a webinar on Kerala Mural Art by Mrs Premila Sethumadhavan, as part of our Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) activities which is a venture of the Government of India (GoI). The initiative ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ was announced by Hon'ble Prime Minister on 31st October, 2015 on the occasion of the 140th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Through this innovative measure, the knowledge of the culture, traditions and practices of different states & UTs will lead to an enhanced understanding and bonding between the states, thereby strengthening the unity and integrity of India. Mrs Premila Sethumadhavan is a homemaker from Calicut and an artist who has been working on Kerala mural art since 2013. She has been part of numerous exhibitions including the one organised by the All India Women's Confederation, for the past five years. She is also among the 101 women artist who participated in the exhibition by 'Snehavarangal', a fundraising organisation for cancer patients. The webinar would feature a brief history of Kerala Mural Art as well as a few techniques of the field.
