Share your thoughts, tips on how to live with cancer, questions or anything you'd like to share below! In today's video - The Vlog About Nothing! - I discuss some of the anxiety I faced today! Learning to handle anxiety is a very important part of the cancer journey. Anxiety and stress is definitely not a positve thing and can cause so many health issues, like high blood pressure, upset stomach, headaches, sleep issues, etc. When fighting an illness like cancer, we need to try to remain as stress free as possible. We need our strength to fight! I rant about my latest negative experience I faced when trying to refill my chemotherapy medication! Yes, I do believe ranting/getting things off my chest is a positve release of negativity! I also share my "beautification" process! Ok, so I'm not a beauty guru! And my skin is super sensitive (which I seem to repeat multiple times in the video!). But, I do like to try and pamper my skin as much as I can! Yes, my looks have drastically changed since I got cancer. But, I am still a beautiful woman! One of the products I love to use is It Works Defining Gel. I use it on my face, once a week, to help my skin stay nourished, hydrated and to soothe my skin. I mention in the video that it does sting my skin when I first put it on. That's simply because I have cancer on my face and ANYTHING I use on my face stings! I don't think it is because of the product itself! You also get to meet two of my very special friends! Carl and Michael! Carl is 6 years old. He loves balls, barking, cuddles, petting and is a Peter Monn fanatic! Yep, he is Peter Monn's biggest fan! He loves nothing more then to cuddle on the couch with me and watch Peter Monn's videos! He especially loves it when Peter vlogs while driving! Michael is 5 years old and is Carl's younger brother! He loves napping on the back of the sofa, left over human food (which we dont give him but he steals from the kids rooms), bones, barking at everything and being petted! Both of my special friends are two of the most beautiful souls I have ever met. They instinctively know when I am not feeling well and refuse to leave my side when I am in pain or sick! I will forever be gratefull to them! I think having a pet or a companion is so impiortant when you are dealing with or fighting an illness like cancer. They radiate peace and help us through the rough patches! And they do it without expectations of anything in return! Just another week or so, and I will be in the new apartment! The start of a new chapter in my journey! I will be posting a moving day video soon, so keep posted! All in all, I am in a a very happy place in my life. NO, its not the same as it was before I found out I had cancer and started treatments etc. But life is still a good thing and it is really a reflection of what i decide I will make of it. Cancer may have taken my health but it will not take my happiness. I am slowly learning how to find positivity admist a negative! I hope that makes sense! I refuse to allow cancer to take my happiness! So until next time guys! Happy living!
